    Eat Street Northshore has been offering locals a unique one-of-a-kind experience for over 10 years. As a key tenant and partner of Northshore Brisbane, EDQ remains committed to supporting Eat Street Northshore for the foreseeable future and is unaware of plans for Eat Street Northshore to change from its current format.

    Parking on roads and streets

    Brisbane City Council invests in major transport infrastructure projects, local road projects, and public transport initiatives. Council also regulates vehicle parking in and around Brisbane, such as within the Northshore Brisbane precinct.  

    EDQ, along with all contractors, is required to seek relevant traffic permits for any lane or road or parking closures from Council. Council regulates this process to ensure any impacts to the road network or traffic flow is managed appropriately. Information on the process can be found here. Brisbane City Council also have a Residential Parking Fact Sheet which may be of assistance. For more information, call Council’s 24-hour Contact Centre at 07 3403 8888.

    Parking on EDQ land and car parks

    Parking on EDQ-owned land is designated for patrons supporting businesses and activations including Eat Street, Pink Flamingo, Superordinary and Flipside Circus. The car parks are to be used in accordance with the car parking terms and conditions signed on entry. 

    No overnight parking is permitted. EDQ will continue to monitor parking on its premises, and vehicles parked overnight face the risk of being towed. 

    The car parking provided by EDQ has been designed and delivered with advice from a qualified Traffic Engineer and in accordance with relevant planning approvals for activations along the riverfront precinct. All tenants submit and manage a traffic management plan based on the parking allocation in this approval.

    Thank you for your query.

    The availability of car parking in Dock D will be reduced from April 2024 until December 2026 to allow for a large-scale activation at Northshore Brisbane. Public access will remain available during the activation so the CityCat crew may continue parking at Dock D. The closest parking for the CityCat terminal will be behind the tennis courts. Pedestrian access will be available via the riverfront (which has lighting) or between the tennis courts and activation.

    The Development Scheme for Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area can be found here, this gives you an understanding of the building intent for all areas within the PDA.

    EDQ is largely responsible for the delivery of infrastructure and public realm within the precinct. EDQ work with local and state government, community and local landholders, and developers to deliver the waterfront community.     There are no marina facilities planned for delivery within the EDQ owned Northshore Hamilton project area. Private developers may pursue the inclusion of marina facilities in the future as part of their development.

    Planning for the Brisbane Athlete’s Village as part of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games is still in its early stages and the precise boundary for the Athletes Village has not yet been resolved. However, the importance of designing and delivering the Village to ensure a quality, enduring legacy is a top priority.

    Housing diversity is vital to creating inclusive and vibrant communities and is not a location specific outcome. Dwellings for public housing, social housing or affordable housing will be distributed throughout residential and mixed-use developments within the PDA and designed to integrate seamlessly within the existing neighbourhood.

    Thank you for your query. The development scheme amendment for Northshore Hamilton plans for a range of retail development, including the delivery of a full line supermarket in the main activity centre on Macarthur Avenue and convenience retail at the eastern activity centre near Northshore Riverside Park. This is in addition to the current retail area at existing Portside Wharf, which includes an existing IGA supermarket. Timing for delivery of grocery stores and food outlets will ultimately be determined by developers and retail operators, which is subject to land availability, population numbers and overall market demand.

There is a sign near the Northshore Harbour Cafe for a toilet and longer term residents tell me that there is an external toilet on the Cafe that was previously open to the public but when Management changed some time ago they closed it off and removed sign on door. Not only does it make sense to have at least 2 toilets in a public park, but this one is near the kids playground.     Northshore Riverside Park is one of many Hamilton parks managed and maintained by Brisbane City Council not Economic Development Queensland. Any concerns regarding access to public facilities at Northshore Riverside Park should be directed to Council.

    You can lodge a maintenance complaint with Council, online, you can submit a general complaint via email or you can contact Council on 07 3403 888.

    Yes: The 1.2km Lores Bonney Riverwalk extends east from Cameron Rocks Reserve to Brett’s Wharf. It then connects to an existing riverwalk that extends from Brett’s Wharf to Portside Wharf. As part of staged future redevelopment in the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area the riverwalk will be incrementally extended, ultimately connecting Portside Wharf to Northshore Riverside Park.

    Works at the eastern end of the Northshore PDA precinct to create three new roads and upgrade MacArthur Avenue are expected to be undertaken during the second half of 2021. When we have further information in regards to timing we will update the Have Your Say page.
