The Oxley PDA Development Scheme was approved by the Queensland Government and came into effect on 9 August 2019.

The development scheme is the regulatory document that assists with planning, carrying out, promoting, coordinating and controlling land development within the PDA.
The Oxley Priority Development Area (PDA) was declared on 10 August 2018 and an interim land use plan (ILUP) given effect. The development scheme supersedes the Interim Land Use Plan that has been in place since declaration of the PDA.

Oxley Aged Care Precinct Development Application

EDQ has sought interest from the market for the sale and delivery of a retirement village, independent living, aged-care facility, or a combination of these on a 1.6 -hectare approximate parcel of land in the 19-hectare PDA. Subsequently, EDQ is now in final negotiations with the proponents for this proposed precinct.
The proponent of the aged care precinct lodged a development application (DA) on 25 June 2021 with a “properly made” notice letter issued on 27 July 2021, meaning the public was able to view the DA and supporting documentation from this date. The applications and supporting documents can be viewed online at https://www.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/economic-development-qld/buying-and-developing-land/development-applications-and-assessment/current-applications-and-approvals.
To search for the development application please type in DEV2021/1196 for the residential aged care in the “current applications” search field of the website.
As the proposed development meets the requirements of the approved master plan, notification is not required under the provisions of the August 2019 Oxley PDA Development Scheme. However, you can contact the proponent at: songbird@rockpoolrac.com should you have further questions.
