Riverwalk now open and new works to increase pedestrian connectivity

Works that had closed the pedestrian access to the Riverwalk behind the tennis courts in Dock D are now complete and the path is open.

Residents may notice temporary fencing has been installed behind Dock D, Passenger Zone 4. This fencing is to accommodate the construction of a new pedestrian link through the existing garden bed (see plan below).

The four-metre-wide pedestrian link will feature recycled timber posts and festoon lighting, and will provide quicker access to, and out of, the Passenger Zone 4 (pick-up/drop). The link will also provide easy access to The Shed and Eat Street entrances.

Works on the pedestrian link are expected to be complete by late September 2022.
